OUR OWN COMPANY

Puresome Cleaning

The paid-ad landing page for my own cleaning company. Ad clicks come from phones, from people comparing prices, and the listing had six reviews.

Puresome Cleaning's quote page on a phone: the headline "House cleaning you can check.", three tiles for choosing the kind of cleaning, then the top of an example visit report. A band marks where the quote form is cut out.

Five notes on this site

The visit report on Puresome's quote page: 48 of 48 tasks, 12 photo proofs, checked task lines and four job photos, beside the three audience tiles.

NOTE 1 · Six reviews, so show the work

Five stars on six reviews looks thin beside bigger cleaners, so the proof is the report every customer gets after each visit.

Receipt · The Google listing: 5.0 · 6 Google reviews (as of 2026-09-10).

Tap who it's for.

The recording shows Puresome's quote page. When one of its three tiles is tapped (My home; Office, church or rentals; Post-construction), the visit report beside it fades and prints again for that kind of customer: its title and counts, the checked task lines, the photo proofs, who cleaned, the guarantee, and last, the rate.

Homeowners, property managers and builders land on the same page. One tap re-prints the report for whichever one you are.

NOTE 3 · Roles, not made-up names

Early drafts gave the cleaners invented names. On a report meant to be checked, made-up people don't belong, so it prints roles.

NOTE 4 · The price lands last

The price prints last, after the checklist, the photos and the guarantee. You see what the money buys before the number.

The 48 tasks and 12 photo proofs aren't marketing. They're the counts in the checklist app the cleaners use.

The challenge

Puresome Cleaning is my own cleaning company in Southwest Michigan, and its quote page is where paid ads land: Local Services Ads and Google Ads, mostly on phones, mostly from people comparing prices. By the time they arrive, they have already seen the name, the stars and the review count in the ad, and on 2026-09-10 the listing showed 5.0 stars from only six reviews. Six reviews is thin next to bigger cleaners with far more. Three very different buyers also land on the same address: homeowners; offices, churches and rental owners; and builders after construction. And on a phone, the first step of the quote had to sit on the first screen, before anything else.

What I built

The first screen is the Visit Report: the written record a customer gets after every clean, shown beside a short quote form. It carries the real counts from the checklist app the cleaners use (48 tasks and 12 photo proofs for a standard clean, 36 and 4 after construction, 65 and 19 for a rental turnover), with task lines copied from that checklist, real job photos, the two cleaners by role, the guarantee, and the price, which prints last. Three tiles at the top rewrite the page for each kind of buyer: one tap re-prints the report and swaps the headline, the form's options and every section below. On a phone, the form comes first and the report follows.

My role

It's my company, so all of it: the writing, the design, the build and the form wiring. The photos are from real Puresome visits, and the report marks which details are examples. The counts and task lines are copied from the cleaners' app, so the page describes what the crew actually does, and six automated tests keep the price in last place.

Honest proof

  • Lighthouse mobile on the live quote page, measured 2026-09-14: performance 93, largest paint 3.0 s, layout shift 0.
  • The quote page's own script is 12.1 KB compressed.
  • Six automated tests hold the report's timing: the price always prints last, and the finished report stays still for more than half of each play.
  • Every count traces to the cleaners' app: 48 and 12, 36 and 4, 65 and 19.
  • Live since 2026-09-10. There is no conversion data yet, so there are no results to show.

Try it live

The live quote page runs paid ads, so it's shown here as a recording. A call or a quote request sent from it would count in its ad results as a real customer, and would reach the real office.

Deleted scenes: what I threw out, and why

Every site starts as several competing plans, drafted and critiqued with AI tools. I pick one, and say why.

  • A page built on six job photos. Its timestamps were declined: a sample "three-hour turnaround" would read as a promise.
  • Two layers you could peel apart. Dropped: a page trick, not a reason to hire a cleaner.
  • The price up front, in big type. It came close, and two of its ideas stayed: a headline for each kind of customer, and the rate shown in the form.
  • An AI-generated video loop for the homepage. I rejected it because it looked too AI-generated; a real photo with gentle motion shipped instead.
